Hello, my name is Denise Burt and I am a graphic artist and designer. I design mostly for cultural projects, especially art music. I love to work musicians to create a visual experience for their work.

I am originally from New Zealand, was educated at the Elam School of Fine Arts in Auckland, spent 6 years learning the ropes in various design companies in London and have been living and designing in Copenhagen since 2000. I’ve had a desk at Republikken since 2008, so I’m one of the 'oldies'.

My specific niche is contemporary classical music but I work with many different genres and also in areas outside of music altogether. Music projects make up the majority of my output though.

Last year, I published a book about designing album art for art music called “Seeing New Music – Contemporary classical music through the eyes of a graphic designer”.
