This Thursday at Community Breakfast, we met Per Husted, one of our new co-working members at Republikken.
Per is co-owner and CEO of a real estate company in Jutland, where he has spent many years building business communities, supporting companies, and helping new ideas find the right space to grow.
He has also served seven years in the Danish Parliament, working with areas such as business, taxation, technology, and international affairs.
But what stood out most was Per’s curiosity and energy for people, work, and new projects.
From Business Development to Business Communities
Per’s working life has taken him from teaching and local business development to building real estate communities in Jutland.
After seeing similar concepts abroad, he created his first business community in Hersund. Many people doubted whether it would work, but it became a success.
Over time, one community became several. Today, the company works with thousands of square metres of buildings and around 50 companies.
A big part of the story is about seeing possibilities where others see empty space. As old factory buildings became available, Per and his partners turned them into flexible spaces for new types of companies, especially e-commerce businesses that needed room to grow.
People, Trust and Good Ideas
One of the strongest themes in Per’s talk was the importance of people.
For Per, good projects are not only about ideas, industries, or business plans. They are about trust, chemistry, shared goals, and bringing the right people together.
He spoke about how his own company was built with investors who became much more than financial partners. They became people he trusted and enjoyed working with.
That is also what he hopes to bring into new projects now: experience, business development, network, and curiosity.
A New Chapter at Republikken
After many years in Jutland, Per and his wife decided to try something new and move to Copenhagen.
Per still spends time in Jutland, but he is also looking forward to becoming part of new projects and meeting people with ideas, especially within areas such as AI, technology, and entrepreneurship.
He brings experience, perspective, and a strong interest in collaboration. And as he shared, he is very aware that younger people often know things he does not, which is exactly where good cooperation can begin.
Why It Matters
Per’s story was a reminder that experience and curiosity can go hand in hand.
It was about staying open to change, seeing potential in new places, and believing that good projects grow through people, trust, and shared ambition.
We are very happy to welcome Per to the Republikken community, and we hope many of you will get the chance to meet him around the house.
