Pooyan Razian about the journey from mountain peaks to cloud computing and how curiosity fuels his success.
At this week’s Republikken Community Breakfast, we had the pleasure of speaking with Pooyan Razian, a consultant who brings his love for the clouds—both metaphorical and literal—to his work and life. Originally from Iran, Pooyan shared his journey, highlighting how curiosity has driven both his professional path and personal adventures.
Pooyan Razian about Mountain Peaks to Data Pipelines
Pooyan began his story with his passion for hiking in the mountains of Iran, describing how his “cloud journey” started with actual clouds. He soon transitioned from exploring natural heights to working with cloud computing, specifically with AWS (Amazon Web Services) for Kodlot.
In his current role, Pooyan builds data pipelines and cloud infrastructures. He explained that working with cloud technology has changed the way businesses manage data. With just a few clicks or lines of code, companies can now create global infrastructures without needing physical servers. However, Pooyan emphasized the need for specialized knowledge to build efficient cloud systems, which is where his expertise comes in.
A Consultant with a Curious Mindset
Pooyan finds fulfillment in his role as a consultant. Unlike traditional employment, consultancy allows him to work on diverse projects, offering the freedom to impact various businesses. He compared this freedom to the very essence of Republikken—a place where work is guided by passion and innovation.
Adventure as a Source of Inspiration
Aside from his work, Pooyan makes time for daily walks, covering around 15,000 steps to stay grounded. His passion for hiking and exploring mountainous regions fuels his curiosity and drive, allowing him to view challenges from a broader perspective. He often reflects on the beauty of looking down from a mountaintop, seeing life in its entirety.
What Can Pooyan Razian Offer?
Pooyan expressed his eagerness to help the community with technical conversations and insights. He enjoys engaging in discussions over coffee, learning from others while offering his knowledge in return.
