Charlotta and the Leap Into Entrepreneurship

This Thursday at Community Breakfast, we met Charlotta, who shared a story about curiosity, courage, and the decision to build something of her own.

After almost 15 years working with residential development in Sweden and Denmark, Charlotta has spent the past year stepping fully into life as an entrepreneur.

Today, she is the founder of Charliving Ltd, a real estate investment company in the UK, and Courage Commerce ApS, an e-commerce business in Denmark. Two very different businesses, but both shaped by the same energy: learning, testing, building, and moving forward.

From Residential Development to New Ideas

Charlotta’s background is rooted in residential development, where she has worked with homes, neighbourhoods, sustainability, innovation, business development, leadership, communication, and social sustainability.

That experience has given her a broad understanding of how people live and how businesses can grow around real needs.

But as Charlotta shared, she has never been someone who wants to keep doing the same thing just because she already knows how to do it. For her, the interesting part is learning something new.

Building While Learning

Charlotta described herself as a creator. Someone who enjoys starting things, solving problems, and figuring things out along the way.

With Charliving Ltd, she invests in real estate in the UK, buying and refurbishing properties with the goal of building a long term portfolio.

With Courage Commerce ApS, she is exploring e-commerce from Denmark, testing products, working with suppliers, and using AI tools to help with text, images, language, and communication.

It is early days, and that is part of the point. Charlotta is not waiting until everything is perfect before she begins. She is learning by doing.

The Courage to Make Mistakes

One of the strongest parts of Charlotta’s talk was her honesty about mistakes.

She spoke about being good at trying things, testing ideas, and making mistakes early, before they become bigger mistakes later.

It was a refreshing reminder that entrepreneurship is not only about having a perfect plan. It is also about curiosity, movement, and the ability to keep learning while things are still uncertain.

Life as an Adventure

Outside work, Charlotta is full of energy.

She loves to travel, explore Copenhagen with her family and her dog, and she has danced throughout her life. Today, she also brings that energy into the room as a Zumba instructor.

That sense of movement seems to run through everything she does. Work, life, business, learning, travel, family, dancing, and new ideas are all part of the same bigger adventure.

Why It Matters

Charlotta’s story was not only about real estate, e-commerce, or becoming self-employed.

It was about allowing yourself to change direction. About seeing boredom as a space for creativity. About daring to step into something more open, uncertain, and self directed.

It was also about community.

Charlotta shared that one of the reasons she comes to Republikken is not just to work, but to meet people, talk, share knowledge, and be part of conversations that can lead somewhere new.

Thank you for sharing your story, Charlotta. We are very happy to have you in the Republikken community.
