This Thursday’s Community Breakfast at Republikken brought us stories of travel, tech, and transformation. We met Emile, the world-traveling cofounder of Beaucoup Data, an AI company building custom algorithms with heart, brains, and purpose.
And yes, he’s already biking through Copenhagen like a local (a welcome change from the chaos of Paris traffic).
From Passionate Traveler to Purpose Driven Builder
Emile has visited over 50 countries, driven by two simple passions: food and people. But his biggest journey? Going from employee to entrepreneur.
After six years leading AI product strategy at a global fashion retailer, Emile joined forces with a former colleague to launch Beaucoup Data. His vision? To build smarter AI tools with intention, not just for the sake of hype.
Today, the team works with clients across fintech, construction, retail, and nonprofits. They build machine learning models, pricing engines, and automation systems tailored to each business.
When Curiosity Meets Responsibility
Emile’s real strength isn’t just in writing complex algorithms. It’s in asking the big question: Why build this at all?
In a world rushing into AI, Emile stands out for his thoughtful, ethical approach. His team recently explored how language models can reveal psychometric profiles, where data that could easily be misused. But instead of monetizing it, they’re using the research to raise awareness and promote responsible AI.
And when clients ask for AI they don’t actually need? He’s honest about it. Sometimes what’s needed is clarity, not code.
Building Business Without the Sales Pitch
Ironically, the guy building next generation tech hates selling. Cold emails? “Terrible,” he says with a smile.
That’s why he’s focused on partnerships, where Beaucoup Data focuses on solving problems.
Need help thinking through an AI idea? Emile is happy to talk, no strings attached. You’ll find him upstairs at Republikken. Sometimes with coffee. Always open for a good conversation.
