Sara and the Power of Communication

This Thursday at Community Breakfast, we met Sara, one of the newer faces at Republikken and founder of Commpose, her newly started communications agency.

Commpose is a mix of communication and positioning, which says a lot about the work Sara does. She helps small companies, startups, and scale ups find the words, structure, and direction they need to communicate clearly and tell their story with confidence.

Denmark’s Biggest Startup

Before starting Commpose, Sara worked with communication in larger companies, including NNIT and a company created when part of NNIT was split out and sold.

It was not a startup in the usual sense. There were around 1,400 employees, 40 customers, and important clients.

But in many ways, it felt like starting from scratch. Communication, branding, HR, finance, sustainability, and other support functions had to be built almost from the ground up. For a while, they called themselves Denmark’s biggest startup.

That experience stayed with her. The feeling of creating something new. Of helping a company enter a new chapter. Of building the foundation that makes growth possible.

Communication as Leadership

Sara also shared her long connection to Roskilde Festival, where she has been part of the Media House for 15 years.

Here, she leads volunteers working with photography, video, social media, websites, articles, graphics, and translation. For Sara, communication is not only about writing, branding, or campaigns. It is also one of the most important leadership tools.

Leading volunteers is different from leading paid employees. People choose to be there. They bring their own motivation, skills, ambitions, and creative energy. The role of leadership is to create an environment where people want to contribute.

That is a powerful reminder for any workplace.

Why It Matters

Sara’s story was not just about communication. It was about starting again, taking experience from one world and using it in another, and helping ideas find a clearer voice.

Good communication is not decoration. It is a foundation and a leadership tool. It helps people understand, connect, trust, and act.

That matters whether you are building a company, leading a team, running a festival, or trying to explain a new idea to the world.

So great to have you here, Sara. And welcome to the Republikken community.
