Meet Ljiljana from Republikken Community Breakfast. A cool person and expert in strategy.

Ljiljana Harding: A Life Bridging Worlds

A Global Career with Strategic Local Impact

So at this Republikken Community Breakfast, we had the pleasure to meet yet one more inspiring person. Meet Ljiljana, who has built a career that spans continents, industries, and high-level strategy. With a background in global pharmaceutical supply chains, she manages one of the world’s largest medication portfolios. Her job is to think ahead—ten years ahead, to be exact. From planning how medicines reach patients worldwide to ensuring supply chains remain agile and efficient, Ljiljana’s work is a balancing act of logistics, regulations, and market unpredictability.

But despite working for a global powerhouse, she prefers the dynamic energy of Republikken over a corporate office. In fact, she only steps into her company’s Copenhagen branch when her laptop breaks down or when Christmas gifts are handed out. It’s because of Republikken, she says. which is simply more her kind of place. It’s an environment filled with creativity, collaboration, and, most importantly, people who inspire her.

Ljiljana Finding Home in Denmark

Ljiljana’s journey to Denmark wasn’t exactly planned. Born in Serbia, educated in England, and having spent years in the U.S., she was no stranger to moving. But a visit to a music festival changed everything. There, she met a group of Danes, traveled to Copenhagen to visit them. Here she instantly fell in love with the city. Without hesitation, she told her company, “I’m moving to Denmark now.” And just like that, a new chapter began.

Within her first week in Denmark, she discovered Republikken, met a few familiar faces, and signed up. Since then, Republikken has been her professional and social anchor. A place where work happens, friendships grow, and the occasional Serbian breakfast is shared with the community.

Passion for Heavy Metal and Community Meet-up.

Beyond strategic work, Ljiljana’s true passion lies in heavy metal. She not only listens to it—she builds a community around it. As the founder of Copenhagen’s Hard Rock and Heavy Metal Meet-up, she connects over 1,000 music lovers through concerts, gatherings, and pure rock energy. Because of this passion that helped her find her closest friends when she first arrived in Denmark. Now, she’s paying it forward, ensuring that others find their place too.

And if you ever see her at Republikken with a serious expression, don’t be fooled—she’s probably just contemplating supply chain logistics while headbanging internally to Iron Maiden.
