At this week’s Community Breakfast, we had the pleasure of hearing from Tina Pearson—a woman whose career journey is as unpredictable as it is inspiring. From managing Danish bands in England to running a nationwide entrepreneur network, her story is a lesson in reinvention, resilience, and saying yes to opportunities.
A Life in Motion
Tina’s career began in an unexpected way—helping Danish bands break into the UK music scene. Armed with nothing but a bag full of cassette tapes, she walked into record companies, pitching artists. Her time in London led her to interviewing music legends like George Michael and Kim Wilde, before shifting into TV production and live broadcasting.
But she didn’t stop there. Over the years, she has managed bands, organized international model competitions, and worked in PR, marketing, and events—always finding creative ways to make things happen, often with little to no budget.
The Entrepreneurial Spirit
One of Tina’s most impactful ventures was founding a network for entrepreneurs in Copenhagen. At its peak, it had 250 members, proving that entrepreneurs crave connection just as much as funding. But success came with challenges—at one point, she faced a financial crisis, owing a quarter of a million kroner. Instead of hiding, she tackled it head-on, meeting creditors face-to-face. Honesty, she says, was key to surviving.
Reinventing Career & Life
Four years ago, life took another turn. After some struggling, Tina and her husband started a carpentry business, Tikøb Tømreren. From the start, they set clear boundaries: only work with clients who share their values. Their approach has paid off, creating a thriving business built on trust.
The Camino & Life Lessons
One of Tina’s most personal experiences was walking the Camino de Santiago. She trekked 520 kilometers in 20 days, losing 13 kilos but gaining a fresh perspective. The journey taught her the power of trusting the process—a philosophy she now applies to business and life.
So next time you’re at Republikken, drop by and say hi—you never know what you might learn from Tina.
