At today’s Community Breakfast Tom Brealey talked about his journey in tech innovation, healthcare solutions, and his love for the outdoors.
Tom Brealey is a Kiwi with a passion for learning new things and exploring the outdoors. Growing up in New Zealand, he has always been surrounded by nature, which has instilled in him a love for adventure and a deep respect for the environment. This connection to the natural world keeps him grounded and inspires his curiosity to explore not only physical landscapes but intellectual ones as well.
He is driven by a deep curiosity and a love for continuous learning. Whether it’s exploring new technologies like LLMs or hiking through New Zealand’s beautiful landscapes, he is always looking to push his boundaries and discover something new. This curiosity fuels his passion for innovation and problem-solving, especially in how technology can improve people’s lives.
Tom Brealey about working LLM, ED and AI
Tom Brealey is the Data/Machine Learning Product Manager for an American start-up called Vital, which has a patient experience app guiding patients through their visits to the Emergency Department. The app provides them with expectations regarding how long they’ll need to wait in the ED, the results of any tests or labs they have while in the ED, and support in scheduling any follow-up appointments they may need.
He can help others by sharing his experience and insights into using LLMs and other AI technologies in practical, real-world applications. He is particularly interested in how these tools can simplify complex information and improve user experiences, especially in healthcare. If someone is working on similar projects or facing challenges in these areas, he would love to collaborate or offer advice.
In return, Tom Brealey would appreciate learning from others’ experiences and approaches, particularly in fields he is less familiar with. He is also working on improving his Danish, so any practice or tips would be incredibly helpful. He looks forward to exchanging knowledge and growing together. You’ll find Tom at our coworking café.
