This Thursday at Community Breakfast we welcomed Andreas, who introduced members to Bruce Studios.
At first glance it sounds simple. One membership that unlocks a whole world of workouts. But as Andreas explained, the idea is bigger than just fitness. It is about flexibility, social connection, curiosity, and making exercise something people actually enjoy. And perhaps even look forward to.
The Platform of Workouts
Bruce Studios offers a single membership that gives access to more than 190 studios alone across Denmark, 1000+ incl Sweden, and Norway.
Instead of committing to one gym, members can explore many different classes and activities. Yoga one day. Strength training the next. Maybe even a sauna session afterwards.
Through the app you simply book a class, show up, scan a QR code, and join the session like any other member. The idea is to remove the friction that often keeps people from trying something new.
Andreas compared it to the early days of streaming platforms. One movie would not be very exciting. But once the library grows, the experience becomes much more valuable. The same applies to workouts.
Making Exercise Social Again
Another important element is the social aspect. Many people have gym memberships they rarely use. Not because they dislike exercise. Life simply gets busy.
Bruce Studios encourages people to work out with friends, colleagues, or family instead of always training alone. Andreas also shared how companies increasingly explore workouts as a social activity. Instead of only meeting for drinks, colleagues might try a yoga class or a group workout together.
Apparently struggling through a tough class together often creates great stories for the lunch table the next day.
From Startups to Studios
Andreas himself comes from the startup ecosystem. Before Bruce Studios he worked with platforms connecting startups and talent and later with the well known TechBBQ event.
Today he helps grow the Danish market for Bruce Studios, which has expanded rapidly in recent years.
For Republikken members interested in trying something new, Andreas also mentioned a small bonus.
There is even a member offer floating around in the community. So if you suddenly see coworkers heading out for yoga, padel, or sauna on a weekday afternoon, you will know who planted the idea.
Just another reason Republikken keeps life interesting. 💪
