This Thursday, we had the pleasure of meeting Szilvia at our Community Breakfast. A teacher, business leader, and lifelong learner with a story that quickly drew people in. She joined the breakfast for a simple reason. To show up and be part of the community. And as it turns out, that small decision says a lot about her.
Starting Fresh in Copenhagen
Szilvia moved to Denmark last August with her family. A big life shift, but one she embraced with openness and curiosity. While her work continued remotely, something was missing. The everyday connection with people. The casual conversations. The shared energy.
That is what led her to Republikken. A place to step out of the home office and into something more human. And honestly, that feeling is something many of us recognize.
Building a Business That Gives Freedom
Szilvia’s career began in teaching. English, maths, and helping others learn. Over time, her path evolved into something much bigger. Today, she leads a franchise network within the Helen Doron Educational Group, working with more than 70 partners and thousands of students in both Hungary and beyond.
But what stood out most was her mindset. She has deliberately stepped away from daily operations. Instead, she focuses on leadership and coaching. On building a business that can run without her constant involvement.
Learning by Doing (and Speaking)
If there is one thing Szilvia made clear, it is this. She loves to learn. Whether it is business, systems, or languages, she believes in learning through action. Not perfection.
This also applies to her Danish journey, which she described as challenging, but worth the effort. Her approach is simple. Speak first. Figure it out along the way. A mindset that feels both brave and refreshingly practical.
A Place to Belong
More than anything, Szilvia came looking for connection. Through conversations, shared experiences, and a few laughs about language struggles, she found exactly that.
That is what Republikken is all about. A place where people show up as they are. And leave feeling just a little more connected than before.
